We spent a few very hot days in the Okavango Delta in Botswana with African Horseback Safaris shooting pics and video for them. The place was teaming with game and we really shot a pile of images although, by this time of year, the flood waters had receded.
For the stills we used a Canon 5DsR which produces wonderfully detailed and huge images – just what AHS needs for their tourism shows – and a range of lenses from the delightful Canon 8 – 15 mm fisheye to the wonderfully versatile 100 – 400 MkII.
For movies we used the Panasonic GH4 (which uses the 100 – 400 and turns it into the equivalent of a 200 – 800!!) and the Panasonic X1000.
